Nuwamanga Joshua
Joshua was born in 2015 in Masaka, and is in P-4 (4th grade). Site staff describe him as a jolly and confident boy who likes to sing, read and play football (soccer). His parents are both "casual workers" (day laborers) who work to support Joshua and his four siblings. The family lives in a single-room hut, and they've been challenged by sickness. When asked to name something he does not like, Joshua said, "Sleeping without eating." Sponsorship would be a transforming event in Joshua's life.
