Stewardship and Financial Accountability

Hope Alive! shall maintain confidentiality of all information about donors and mailing list addresses. The donor or prospective donor list will not be exchanged, rented, or otherwise shared with other people or organizations.

Hope Alive! gratefully receives gifts that support our mission to serve vulnerable children and families. To steward every donation with integrity, we follow a clear Gift Acceptance Policy that ensures gifts are used exactly as donors intend.

How We Handle Gifts

• All gifts must support Hope Alive!’s mission and programs.
• Donor restricted gifts are honored without exception. When a donor gives toward a specific purpose—such as child sponsorship, education, or medical care—we use those funds only for that purpose.

Child Sponsorship Gifts

Child sponsorship contributions are restricted, meaning they are not mixed into general operating funds. Sponsorship gifts are placed into a pooled sponsorship fund that supports the full set of services provided to sponsored children—education, discipleship, healthcare, nutrition, family support and local sites. This pooled approach ensures:

• Every sponsored child receives consistent care
• No child is disadvantaged by fluctuations in individual giving
• Donor intent is fully protected

Types of Gifts We Accept

We accept financial gifts, in kind donations, and other contributions that align with our mission and comply with legal and ethical standards. Certain complex gifts (real estate, securities, trusts, or items with conditions) may require review before acceptance. We also accept and encourage legacy giving instruments.
