MISSION

We exist to bring the healing hope of Jesus to fragile families in Uganda through fostering life-changing relationships and creating access to meaningful educational opportunities so that transformed families can take strategic places in their communities and impact them for Jesus Christ.

VISION

Our vision is to see fragile families flourishing in the hope of Jesus! We seek the transformation of the whole child, as part of a whole family, for the good of the whole community.

VALUES

Relational: We nurture long-term relationships with every individual in the Hope Alive! family. Students, mentors, staff, and families are known, loved, and cared for.

Holistic: We invest intentionally in the spiritual, physical, emotional, educational and social well-being of individuals, families and communities. 

Local: We are deeply rooted in and part of the communities that we serve. All site managers and mentors are Ugandan Christians from the local community. We don’t minister from afar, but from hearts and lives that have been woven together through time and proximity. 

When these core tenants come together, we see lives changed, families flourish and students transform their communities for Jesus Christ.

OUR BELIEFS

In the Bible as the living and active, fully inspired Word of God, absolutely trustworthy, with supreme authority on all matters of faith and conduct.

God is a triune God - the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit – and it is He who created the world and everything in it. All people, by nature and by choice are sinners, and because of this, experience a broken relationship with God.

God, being full of grace and mercy, sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to the world as an offering for sin. Jesus lived a perfect, sinless life and made atonement for sin through his death and resurrection.

Anyone who receives Christ as their Lord and Savior becomes a new creation, is indwelt by the Holy Spirit, and will live for eternity in God’s presence. Those who reject Christ experience eternal separation from Him.

All regenerated people make up the Church – the living spiritual body of which Christ is the head. Believers come together for worship, service, and fellowship, desiring to exalt Christ in all things and share Him with the world around.
