Mission

We exist to bring the healing hope of Jesus to fragile families in Uganda through fostering life-changing relationships and creating access to meaningful educational opportunities so that transformed families can take strategic places in their communities and impact them for Jesus Christ.

Vision

Our vision is to see fragile families flourishing in the hope of Jesus!

We seek the transformation of the whole child, as part of a whole family, for the good of the whole community.

Values

Relational. We nurture long-term relationships with every individual in the Hope Alive! family. Students, mentors, staff, and families are known, loved, and cared for.

Holistic. We invest intentionally in the spiritual, physical, emotional, educational and social well-being of individuals, families and communities. 

Local. We are deeply rooted in and part of the communities that we serve. All site managers and mentors are Ugandan Christians from the local community. We don’t minister from afar, but from hearts and lives that have been woven together through time and proximity. 

When all of these components come together, we see lives changed, families flourish and students transform their communities for Jesus Christ!
