Rwotomiya Erick
Erick is one of eight children in a family where illness has made providing for the household especially difficult. His mother was unable to work for two years, while his father can no longer do the heavy manual labor often required for farming. With both parents’ ability to work limited, life is difficult for the family. Yet Erick remains hopeful and dreams of becoming a doctor so he can help others. He enjoys playing soccer and finds comfort in simple meals of beans and cassava. Education offers Erick a path toward the stable future he longs for.
