Do you have a skill to share?
God has blessed each of us with many gifts. Many of us take for granted the skills that we learned from others and use every day; but in Uganda, where the median age of the population is 15.7 years, opportunities to transfer knowledge from older to younger generations are more limited. Through short or longer-term mission trips, you can share your knowledge and skills with our brothers and sisters in Uganda. We guarantee you will learn even more than you teach and return home richer for it.

Can you teach?
- Accounting - household budgeting, receipt tracking, basic business ledger, small business planning
- Computer technology - using basic Microsoft Office or similar applications like Word, Excel, PowerPoint; using a browser; using Google drive or other online storage; using email.
- Online safety; spotting scams; evaluating the truth and quality of online information.
- English - reading, writing, conversational skills
- Math - practical use of algebra, geometry; making math fun.
- Science – hands-on fun, physics force, reactions, robotics, chemistry
- Biblical studies – Bible study skills, basic theology

Can you coach?
- Carpentry – using hand tools, leading students in small wood projects, furniture making.
- Agriculture - partner with Hope Alive!’s agricultural projects; share knowledge about crops, pest and weed management, or animal husbandry
- Welding, plumbing, electrical and other trades - teach a useful/employable skill.
- Crocheting, knitting, arts and crafts—helping students create items they can give or sell.

Where might God be calling you to invest your talents?
God has made each one of us uniquely to encourage and uplift the body of Christ. In the United States, you can help develop resources and curriculum. In Uganda, you can teach, coach and mentor as part of a short-term missionary team. If you’re interested in serving in one of these capacities, contact Hope Alive! here.
