A Grandmother's Gratitude for Life-Giving Support

“Watching my grandchildren grow up into responsible young men and women is a prayer come true.”

 Toepista, Andrew’s grandmother, cannot hide her joy when talking about the good works God has done through Hope Alive! “When I lost my child, Andrew’s mother, I didn't know what I was going to do. She supported me and the children, but after her death, I was left shattered. I had no hope for my grandchildren because I, too, couldn’t support myself.”

Andrew and his brother Joseph both joined Hope Alive! in 2012 after the passing of their mother. Joseph has finished school while Andrew is currently pursuing a diploma in veterinary medicine, something his grandmother is very proud of. “Who knew that my [grand]children would become like this if it’s not God?” she remarked with a smile on her face.

Grandmother Toepista shared her heartfelt gratitude to Hope Alive! and the sponsors who have faithfully supported and cared for these children. “I pray that the Lord continues to bless you and expand you to continue with this good work of changing lives because you have really changed my [grand]children’s lives,” she said.
