From Surgery to Spelling Bee
Kampala Site student Oprah Abigenomungu, whom you may remember from her medical challenges a few short months ago, participated in the virtual Enjuba Spelling Bee on August 21st. Not only did she overcome surgery a few months ago but was diagnosed with Malaria the day before the competition. Determined, she participated even with the port for medication (cannula) still in her arm. She was eliminated in the second round but the bigger life lessons of perseverance and determination were learned.
