Intentional Evangelism

Intentional Evangelism

Many false theologies are taking shape in countries throughout the world; Uganda is no different. Many of our children are prone to divert from the teachings of the Bible and follow the prophets and doctrines that are being taught across the nation. Some stage miracles; some concoct stories; others preach a gospel that is contrary to what the Bible plainly teaches. With many of our students susceptible to such teachings, we continue to stand on and preach the word of God.

Our site in Masaka hosted an intentional evangelism-focused session. It was led by one of our mentors, Nakayiza Anet, who shared from John 14:1-6. The students were reminded that Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Light, and that no one comes to the Father except through Him. The students learned how God deeply loves them and wants them to spend eternity with Him. This encouraged them to keep their lives devoted to Christ, to shun all evil acts and to have eyes to see so that they do not fall into the temptations that the world is offering them. They can focus on the Gospel to protect themselves from falling into the trap of false doctrines.

We were overjoyed when one of our young students from a Muslim family decided to dedicate her life to Christ and accept Him as her personal Lord and Savior. Today, she is an active member in Sunday school. Her mentor has played a large role in encouraging her to attend church and prays with her regularly to strengthen her faith. By the grace of God, her family has supported her in her new journey of faith; we couldn't be more excited.
