Oprah--A Story of Healing and Recovery

Meet Oprah, a Hope Alive! student who recently found herself in need of emergency surgery. What started as a severe stomachache quickly escalated into a scary situation. Her intestines were entwined, and her appendix was at risk of bursting.

God used Hope Alive! to save Oprah's life. While we are not normally able to cover students' medical needs, we were thankful to have funds available for this emergency surgery. Oprah is recovering well and can continue her education. She has a sparkling personality and is a delight to all who know her.
 
Like most children in our program, Oprah has a monthly sponsor who helps fund Oprah's schooling and other needs. When her sponsor heard of Oprah's medical situation, she immediately requested all bills be sent to her. By the glory of God, Oprah was able to have multiple surgeries and follow-up care at no cost to the family. This is a life-changing event for many Ugandans and Americans alike.

Through this, Oprah's family was able to see first-hand how God provides for his children. Pray with us for Oprah's family to see God's love throughout this entire situation.
