Sponsorship: The Personal Connection

Sponsorship: The Personal Connection

One of our long-term sponsors recently attended a Christian worship concert. The artist invited the attendees to sponsor a child through another Christian nonprofit. Appreciating the unique relationship our sponsor has with her child, she turned to her friends to show her a recent picture of her sponsored student and pictures of the items she was able to purchase with the Christmas money she received. Her friends were amazed that she had a current picture of her child, that the money she gives goes directly to her student, AND that she and her husband get to see what their child purchased! Our sponsor told us, "I am so thankful for the personal connection we have with our Hope Alive! child. We sponsored one child until he graduated out of the program. I still chat with him on Facebook occasionally. I love being able to email our new sponsored child and send her pictures. Please tell the Hope Alive! staff how much we appreciate the ability to have this personal connection."

Hope Alive! is passionate about providing this personalized experience. We have seen beautiful relationships developed between sponsors and students that have lasted well past the duration of sponsorship. Many students consider their sponsors family; some even call them mom and dad. We are ardent that the funds given by these sponsors go directly to the students and their development. No cent is given to overhead costs or redirected to other projects. We believe it is important that the entire sponsorship amount goes towards fulfilling the fullness of the child's needs, including the careful and caring mentorship by strong believers in the student's community. We will always endeavor to steward the generosity of our sponsors well and lift up God’s children living in a state of hopelessness.
