University Scholarship Fund

In twenty years of ministry, more than 200 Hope Alive! students have earned the Ugandan equivalent to an associate's degree--this is a truly remarkable achievement, and a first for almost all families. Hope Alive! commits to help most students earn their associate's degree through our normal $48 monthly sponsorships.

However, every year a few students stand out among the rest in terms of their academic ability, drive and passion to continue in their education. In the past, Hope Alive! staff lovingly approached the sponsors of these students to see if they were able to pay for their students to complete their bachelor's degrees. For most sponsors, this was beyond their ability. A bachelor's degree in Uganda costs approximately $6,000, including tuition, fees, living expenses and supplies.

Most sponsors simply cannot afford, on their own, to send their student to university. That's why we created the University Scholarship Fund; by pooling smaller contributions from supporters, each year we can send a few outstanding students on.
