Prioritizing Education
It’s not unusual for a child to have missed a year or more of school because of a lack of money to pay the school fees. Others have been barely scraping by, attending school, but constantly living in fear of being “chased” if they are unable to come up with all the funds they need. Hope Alive! looks for the best, most affordable schools and covers 100% of school fees and most other educational expenses as well.
Hope Alive! also seeks to support our students and help them excel in their academic pursuits. For those who struggle in their studies, counseling and guidance are offered.
Midway through secondary school, students are given the choice of either continuing on with their high school studies for another two years (a kind of college prep time) or enrolling in a vocational, technical, or business program. Completing these practical study programs allows students to finish their education with a marketable skill, which aids them in being able to find employment. Just as important, these schools still qualify students for a university diploma and degree programs. Hope Alive!’s mentors and site managers work together with our students to figure out the best path for them to take.
