Empower Hope
Hope Through Giving
"I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly." John 10:10
While sponsorships and strategic partnerships provide the financial backbone of Hope Alive!'s ministry, we also offer unique opportunities to give financially to specific projects or to give your time through serving in Uganda or from home.
Already a sponsor?
THANK YOU! Without your partnership Hope Alive! could not impact the children of Uganda. Sponsors can do many things to support their sponsored child. See ways you can further assist.
While Hope Alive! commits to help each student earn an associate degree, some students are naturally gifted to go further educationally. For most Ugandans, finances make this impossible. Less than 5% of the population have a bachelor’s degree. Uganda needs educated citizens to help eradicate its unacceptable levels of poverty and poor health. Hope Alive! students, if they are given the educational opportunity, can make a valuable impact both through their vocation and as followers of Jesus Christ. To assist these students, Hope Alive! has created a University Scholarship Fund to help pay for their university fees. To help send students to university, click here.
Parent and Community Education
Hope Alive! engages with our students’ guardians and the communities in which the students live to provide positive parenting, domestic violence awareness, and other family-focused classes. Pastors and parents express deep gratitude for these classes and urge that they continue. Click here to help impact the lives of the children, guardians, and communities with ongoing parent- and community-focused education.
Mentors are the very heart of Hope Alive!. As soon as a student is enrolled, a mentor is assigned to walk alongside the student throughout the student’s entire enrollment in Hope Alive!. Mentors provide individualized care for each student, including counseling, encouragement, spiritual guidance, and Bible studies. It is through these relationships that Hope Alive! students, many for the first time, experience the compassion, love and security that come from belonging to Jesus Christ.
Mentors live and work in the impoverished communities in which the students live and know each student they mentor, as well as the student’s family. Mentors know the tragic stories of families ripped apart by deep poverty, plural marriages, AIDS, and much too often by malaria and other curable diseases. Mentors meet with the student’s parents to understand the student’s home life and the needs of the family. Each mentor works with a maximum of 10 children to ensure every child is given the time, attention, and love needed to grow into a thriving young adult.
